Hello, I'm Paul Pethick.

Because I’ve been involved in many forms of creativity over the years, I’ve studied how imagination works in great depth. In my view it pretty much all boils down to play, which is why I set up PlayLab, designing playful interactions to refresh other people’s outlook and creativity.

Now I’ve shaped all my research, and interviews with some of the world’s most influential creatives, into a book called Power of Play – a deep exploration into a small word with huge effects. It reframes what you might currently think childish into the crucial energy behind all imagination, creativity, and the mesh of games called culture.
